2008 KIA SORENTO Conservative
The KIA Sorento delivers a good value for a midsize SUV with strong
towing capacity, excellent safety ratings, as well as a comfortable ride and fuel efficiency. Reviews are
mixed for the 2008 KIA Sorento, even though it does offer a powerful engine with an impressive towing capacity and boasts
excellent crash test ratings, most reviewers feel that it has a rough ride and that the cramped interior
take away from its appeal. The KIA Sorento SUV truck-based frame offers an overly rough ride, with an increased
towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, and available four-wheel drive. The KIA Sorento earns five-star scores for both the driver
and passenger in frontal crash tests, getting another five stars for front and rear-seat protection in side crash tests.

The 2WD model gets a three-star rollover rating, while the
4WD model gets four stars. With the larger 3.8-liter engine, it should net 15/21-mpg city/highway. The 4WD
KIA Sorento model is expected to get 15/22-mpg city/highway with the 3.3-liter engine, and 15/20-mpg city/highway with the
3.8-liter.
